"We have sourced all of the ingredients for all of the dishes locally and the committee will be making all the meals ourselves," Mrs Barwick told the Leader.
"Drought conditions have made some things a little harder to get, but we are still offering up some high-quality local produce and some delicious food."
Mrs Barwick said the event had attracted visitors "from far and wide".
"I think the concept of sourcing all of the ingredients locally really resonates with people," she said.
"As well as that, it is also a great platform for us to not only show people what the Loomberah community has to offer, but what great produce our region has to offer as well.
"It's all about paddock to plate and minimising waste and I think this event is a great way to showcase that."
Sponsored by Sustainable North West and Northern Inland Regional Waste, the picnic begins at 7pm on Friday, and will feature musical entertainment from Hattie Oates.
"It is set to be a wonderful night and we really can't wait," Mrs Barwick said.
"We have a committee of nine members and everyone has put in a lot of effort into this event.
"Not all of us are cooking, but in some way shape or form, everyone has done their bit to help bring it all together.
"We're really grateful for the support of our sponsors, without them we wouldn't be able to put this on.
"It's such an important message for us to put out there and we are really eager to see it come together."
The picnic will be held at the Loomberah Wall Memoiral Hall.
