"Becoming the under-qualified and inexperienced but very enthusiastic president was a highlight for me," he said. "Walcha is definitely the best community in the known universe so playing a part in keeping it that way gives me such a lot of satisfaction that it's bordering on self-indulgence."
Rain, and lots of it is his hope for 2020.
"I want to be looking at green grass and pastures and I'll never again curse the need to mow the grass twice a week."
He says his favourite thing about Christmas is over-indulgence.
"And my least favourite thing is getting on the scales afterwards."
There will be love and biffo guaranteed
A Christmas full of seafood, champagne, family and frivolity is Andrew's ideal and this year he will be doing this with a heap of cousins in Sydney.
"There will be love and biffo guaranteed," he laughed
"I have a tradition of singing the hits of the 1960's and 70's with my grandkids. Maybe that's not unique but my singing is pretty unusual."
When asked what Santa will be bringing him he says it's a secret.
"I love secret presents and stick my fingers in my ears at the suggestion of any hint," Andrew said.
"I went shopping pretty hard at the Quota markets but still plan to knock up some homemade and handmade treats."
And Andrew's top tips for enjoying a merry Christmas?
"Break all the rules."
