A big crowd is expected to pack out Moree Race Club this weekend for one of the biggest events on Moree's social calendar.

After 4,700 people attended last year's event, around 5,000 racegoers are once again predicted to turn out for the popular race meet.
"We're sort of getting a bit of feedback that we might get some extras from Warren way this year," Moree Race Club secretary Michelle Gobbert said.

On top of the large crowd expected, there are also 90 horses nominated across the six races.
Moree trainer Peter Sinclair has 14 horses nominated while Douglas Fernando has nominated two.
All races will be finalised around 12pm today.
Gates open at 12pm on Saturday with the first race to kick off at 2pm.
Fashions on the Field is making a return, once again sponsored by Bella Sante, with prizes valued at up to $3,000 up for grabs.
Award-winning country music artist Troy Kemp will entertain racegoers from 6pm well into the evening.
As always, there will be courtesy buses running to and from the course commencing at 12pm with pick-ups from The Gwydir Carapark, Victoria Hotel, Albert Motel, Dragon and Phoenix MOtel, Golf Club, Royal Hotel and Post Office Hotel.
Pass outs will not be permitted after 8pm and children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A drink ticket system will be in place with no cash bars available.
