The pool doors open at 11 am on Saturday and .the hours of operation will remain the same as previous years.
New additions this year are a race clock and new chairs and tables to replace the thirty-year-old furniture which was looking worse for wear.
The barbecue is also available to use at no cost, but bookings are required to avoid queues. Both the hot and cold showers are working. The grass, however, is not looking good.
"In the 38 years I've been working here this is the worst I've seen it," said Mr Cross.
"The main thing is there is water in there, but with these dust storms and things, it is the hardest it has ever been to clean. When I pull the cleaner bags out, they're chockablock full of mud."
Once the water is in the pool, there is minimal top-up required according to Mr Cross.
"I filled the pool three weeks ago, and I haven't had to top it up once yet," he said.
Joining Mr Cross at the pool this season will be four freshly recruited pool attendants: Hannah Dunn, Annabel Laurie, Annabelle Green and Janie Muller.
"They all completed their lifesaver training last weekend," Mr Cross said.
