James Duncan defeated Coffs Harbour's Matt Watt to claim the title in a tightly contested bout.
"It was a very closely contested fight but James clearly won the first two rounds," Moree Boxing Academy president Danny Cheetham said.
"Matt Watt came back and impressively just won the third round which led to a split decision awarded to the Moree boxer."
The Moree Services Club was packed to the brim to watch an exciting night of boxing, which was presented by Moree Boxing Academy and featured two title bouts with Zach Crouch taking to the ring against Newcastle's Levi Kearny for the NSW Featherweight title.
Crouch won after a unanimous points decision but Cheetham said that didn't reflect how close the bout was.
"We believe Zack won every round but he had to work hard against a very, very determined Newcastle fighter who had every intention of taking that belt out of Moree," he said.
"To Zack's credit, he was able to absorb the onslaught and land the cleanest scoring shots and once again was awarded unanimous points decision.
"That bout was awarded the best fight of the night by our judge and backstage supervisor Steele Sutton."
The first bout of the night saw Moree's Katie Defraine taking on Jossy Schembri from Coffs Harbour.
There were concerns prior to the fight with Schembri coming into the fight heavier than the agreed weight limit, but Cheetham said they were still confident.
"We were very apprehensive but we knew that Katie had a fantastic preparation. We knew that she was boxing very well," he said.
"We had confidence that she'd get the job done and she did.
"She went out and won every round and was awarded a unanimous points decision."
Next up was Moree Boars captain-coach Stanley Swan taking on a tough shearer from Dubbo in Adam Darlington.
"This bout lived up to the hype," Cheetham said.
"As I said earlier that these guys would stand toe to toe in the centre ring and let the bombs go and they did. Both men came to fight.
"Although Darlington is a very good boxer, Stanley's superior hand speed and superior fitness level allowed him to dominate the bout and once again won every round and was awarded a unanimous points decision."
Swan has kept his unbeaten record in tact, now moving to 3-0.
