Whether it's a home, a career or a premiership dynasty, everything boils down to these three concepts.
No one understands this more than Tamworth FC coach Greg Bartlett, who will be aiming to lead his side to a second-consecutive Premier League title on Saturday.
Owning and operating his own construction company, Bartlett believes success both on and off the pitch comes from a strong foundation.
"For us, the major focus every week this season has been about doing the simple things right and sticking to our structures," Bartlett told the Leader.
"We know that if we can do that, we are good chance of beating anybody and hopefully we can do that again on Saturday."

That clash against North Armidale at Scully Park presents FC a far different challenge from last year's decider.
In 2018, FC was kept to just one draw during the regular season and went on to win the Premier League title, defeating Demon Knights in the grand final.
However, in 2019, FC has dropped two games as well as drawn two others.
"What's happened in the past is gone and all we are focused on is what's ahead of us," Bartlett said.
"That's virtually been our attitude all season and we will be looking to bring that into Saturday.
"I think the big thing for us will be to not get rattled, which to the boys' credit hasn't happened this year.
"We have come from behind to defeat Norths twice now, so we know we can do it if they do get on top of us."
As part of his construction business, Bartlett employs multiple key players including his son Josh, who believes working together off the pitch has contributed to the side's success on the pitch.
"There's always a lot of banter between the boys on work sites," the younger Bartlett said.
"I do really think working together has helped, though. We spend so much time together that we know what makes each other tick.
"All jokes aside, there's plenty of banter, but we do get plenty of work done as well."
A member of FC's 2018 side, Bartlett believes this year's squad is just as determined "to get the job done" on Saturday.
"We were talking about it at training on Thursday night and virtually the whole group agreed that making the grand final wasn't going to be enough for us," he said.
"This year we have had a fair bit thrown at us, and winning on Saturday would silence all of that talk.
"I was lucky enough to play in last year's winning side and I know how special winning a grand final is.
"I'm thankful I had the chance to do it last year and I'm sure everyone is pretty keen to help get us there again this year."
Saturday's Premier League grand final begins at 3pm, after the Premier League reserve-grade decider between North Companions and North Armidale at 12pm.
