Clashing with Tamworth FC at Scully Park, Northies found the back of the net early in the game to give themselves plenty of breathing room.

FC were able to claw back a consolation goal in the final 10 minutes, but it was not enough to stop Northies claiming a 4-1 victory.
Northies coach Patrick Warren said he was "very happy with the side's start".
"We knew this game would be a really close one, so to start like that was very important," Warren said.
"After we got two goals in front, things continued to unfold for us and we were lucky enough to win quite comfortably.
"It's been a great year and I'm very proud of the girls."
Warren said playing on Scully Park was "real privilege for his side".
"Playing here is like a reward in and of itself," he said.
"Our girls haven't played on too many grounds as big as this, or on many surfaces as nice as this.
"I think they did a good job considering it would have been a different experience for them."
Earlier in the day, the Kootingal Kougarettes proved too good for North Companions in the women's division B grand final.
Warren said having both sides playoff in a grand final was an indication of the growth of the women's game at North Companions.
"We have had quite a few girls play their first season with us this year, which is exciting," he said.
"A lot of them are quite young, so hopefully they can stick around and make the women's division even stronger going forward."
