Cougars have further pushed their case for a strong finals-run by recording big wins over local rivals Warriors on Saturday.

Playing in front of a packed ladies-day crowd, Cougars began the day with a dominant B grade win over their local rivals.
Cougars jumped out to an early 5-0 lead after hits from Ben Ridgewell, Matt Mellross, Richard Bullock and were all brought home by a Lucas Brown double.
The lead was then extended to 8-0 at the bottom of the second innings as a result of good hitting from Cougars' starting pitcher, Bullock, who kept the Warriors scoreless.

Cougars then scored a further three runs in the third inning after a hit from Jeff Jenkins and several Warriors errors.
Errors then struck the Cougars in the bottom half of the inning, which allowed Warriors to open their account with two runs.
The fifth innings saw a change of pitcher for both teams with Warriors scoring three runs and Cougars extending their lead to 13-5 on the back of doubles to Mellross and Bullock.
Cougars went on to score a further two runs in the sixth innings with Ridgewell taking on the closing pitcher duties to bring the game to a close with the Cougars saluting 15-6.
Bullock was named the Cougars' best player with three hits and 37 strikes for the game followed by Lucas Brown with three hits.
Brent King, who had two hits for the game and starting pitcher Brendan Gosling were among the Warriors best.
The strong form continued in A grade as the Cougars made a statement with a 22-4 win over the Warriors.
Out-hitting the Warriors 18-8 throughout the course of the game, the Cougars were in good form with the bat, while starting pitcher Brock Ridgewell and closer Kris Bird were also very strong on the mound.
The Cougars burst out of the gates with a three-run dinger to Andrew Ferris bringing home Ridgwell and Aiden Lee.
Warriors then scored three runs on the back of hits from Nathan Handsaker and Warren.
Cougars then went on to extend their lead at the bottom of the fourth.
A series of Warriors errors in the fifth and six innings saw a further seven unearned runs scored before another powerful batting display by the Cougars scored another six runs in the seventh.
Bird, Ridgewell and Lee were named the Cougars' best, while Handsaker stood tall.
The Armidale Outlaws continued their good form with wins over the Gunnedah Giants and the Pandas.
The Outlaws proved too strong for the under-strength Pandas, recording a 16-7 win.
