THE Tamworth rescue chopper was called out to North Star on the weekend after a nasty motorbike stack resulted in a man badly fracturing his arm.

The 40-year-old man was at the annual North Star trail ride on Saturday when he fell from his bike and broke his right forearm.
He was treated on scene by St Johns Ambulance medical staff before he was handed over to the helicopter critical care medical crew.

The patient was then flown from the scene to Tamworth hospital where he was listed in a stable condition on Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, the chopper was also tasked to the Moree area on Sunday where it was reported a number of motocross riders had collided and sustained injuries.
