Phu Van Lam, 32, faced five drug-related charges at Fairfield Local Court on Monday after he gave himself up at about 10:20pm the night before.
He was charged with supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity, supply prohibited drug greater or equal to commercial quantity, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime and participate in a criminal group and contribute to criminal activity.
He handed himself in to officers at Fairfield Police Station late Sunday evening and spent the night in jail.
Magistrate Theo Tsavdaridis ordered police prosecutor Sergeant Mackay to serve the brief of evidence in the case on Lam's lawyer.
Despite Lam handing himself in at Fairfield Police Station, Mr Tsavdaridis ruled the case would be brought before Tamworth Local Court in September.
No application for bail was made and it was formally refused, Lam will appear via audio link on the next occasion.

Lam was one of four men allegedly connected to Tamworth's 'ice castle' that police have been searching for since the investigation unfolded with raids in Tamworth at the end of May.
Hayden Lansdown, 23, from Tamworth and Ashley Hoye, 31, from Sydney and the Central Coast, are allegedly evading police. They are wanted on a raft of drugs and firearms charges.
