A HEARTY crowd rolled-up to South Tamworth's bowling club on Sunday as the community showed its support for one family dealing with a shock cancer diagnosis.
Shop windows and Facebook feeds throughout Tamworth have been punctuated with "bowls for Casey" fundraiser promotion for weeks now, but the outpouring of support showed on Sunday was a whole different ballgame.
It was in aid of Casey Macaulay, and her family, who's undergoing radiation treatment after being diagnosed with cancer.
The young woman and her parents have temporarily relocated to Sydney for treatment as she battles cancer for the fourth time in her life.
The ticketed bowls event aimed to raise money to aid with travel and accommodation for the family.
A motorbike rally was also organised and held on Sunday in aid of the fundraiser.
People who missed the day on the green and wishing to help can still donate funds directly to the family via direct transfer to BSB: 802 298, account number 100 110 491.
