Event co-ordinator Bob Hennessy said the annual triples carnival was one of the most anticipated events on the club's calendar.
"This is our longest running event and it has been going for more than 50 years," Hennessy told the Leader.
"It will be pretty action packed with some quality players from right around the region taking part."
Hennessy said the event's prize money would not have been possible without the generosity of the club's sponsors.
"From what I understand it is the only lawn bowls competition around over the weekend.
"We have also be lucky enough to offer a $2500 prize pool, kindly donated by Shaun Hamilton.
"So with all of that it should be a great event."
The action kicks off on Saturday afternoon and continues on Sunday morning at the West Tamworth Bowling Club.
