In mirror scorelines Souths dispatched of Kiwis 5-1 before Workies accounted for Tudor Wests 5-1.
Workies laid the foundation for their victory in the first half.
"I thought our first half was really good," coach Andrew Farmilo said.
"We passed the ball around really well."
"We probably didn't take some good options in the circle but the lead-up was excellent."
Tudors' cause wasn't helped by an injury to one of their players in the first half, which left them with 10 for the remainder of the game.
Up 4-nil at the break, Farmilo said they were probably a bit complacent in the second half. Their build-up was still good but they took "some poor options" in the circle.
Lachie Butler struck twice, Farmilo, Calvin Farmilo and Toby Climpson all chiming in with a goal.
Earlier Nick O'Connor and Angus Doyle scored doubles for Souths as they ensured they sit on top of the table heading into the June long weekend bye.
"We've still got room for improvement but it was quite satisfying to come away with the result," keeper James Hindmarsh said.
Hindmarsh said they played "a pretty good team game" and noted that they converted their opportunities when they arose better than they have done in recent weeks.
It was one of coach Sam Clifton's biggest complaints after their 1-all draw with Tudors the previous week.
Defensively they were very strong and again proactive in limiting the effectiveness of Kiwis' overhead game.
Hindmarsh said Doyle was really good. It was probably one his best games for them.
"It's good to see the young kids lifting," he said.
