As they did against Gunnedah in their last game, the Blue Boars stormed over the top of Scone in the second half to snatch the points 44-15.
"Every game we've played so far we've outscored the opposition in the second half," Blue Boars coach Dylan Duncan said.
Even against Walcha in the first round they scored more points than the Rams in the second half but they had too much ground to make up.
On Saturday the deficit wasn't as big as the Red Devils' game, when they trailed 19-5 at half-time with the Brumbies taking a 15-12 lead into the break.
Duncan said the visitors played well in the first half while his side were their own worst enemies.
"We dropped the ball consistently in the first half," he said.
He counted at least 20 times they would coughed up possession.
"Having the week off we were a little bit rusty," he said.
"We were lacking a bit of continuity.
"We were't quite working as a team and turning over the ball quite easily."
WHAT ELSE HAPPENED IN ROUND 3:
"We started to put it together in the second half and started to score some tries."
They ran in six in the second half, winger Luke Tuckey finishing with a hat-trick.
He probably should have had at least another two, Duncan said.
His try-scoring feats saw him pick up the three points to go with his three tries.
"He's finishing really well," Duncan said.
"It's probably as fast as I've seen him well."
Breakaways Jack Maunder and Matt McDonnell shared the two and the one, with McDonnell adjudged the players' player.
Duncan said they were standouts in the first half for them.
He is pretty happy with how they are traveling three rounds in.
"We're playing good footy, we're just lacking a bit of consistency," he said.
"It will be interesting when we play Pirates and Moree."
They have the bye this weekend.
