Twins Mykayla and Hannah Crisp have taken an unusual path for their gap year, moving to Hong Kong.
Staying with their aunt and uncle in the north, it didn’t take the pair long to join the local Kowloon women’s premier team. Known for their skills in rugby sevens, the Crisp twins are taking on 15s rugby with their new teammates.
“We are both loving it and learning a lot from all the coaches and players,” Mykayla said.
Halfway through the season, the Kowloon team is in the top four teams for the local championship, which means the girls are facing hard physical games every week.
“We train each Tuesday and Thursday and are lucky enough to have guest coaching session with the some of Hong Kong’s national coaches, so we have learnt so much from them,” Mykayla said.
