But just because it’s Country Music Week doesn’t mean that you have to get all Country Music-y if you don’t want to.
Here’s some events on over the weekend that will get you involved without actually getting involved…
Running Thursday, Friday and Sunday, this workshop is creative AND you get to take home what you create after the event. Create a small, woven, wearable artwork to remember your festival experience and your time spent on Gomeroi Country. An intimate experience with just 10 participants and at just $15 this event is a steal!
If you’re sitting in a chopper we can guarantee you won’t be able to hear the yodeling down Peel Street. Precision Helicopters are offering scenic flights around Tamworth for about 10 minutes and you can just turn up and organise a flight! We promise without the background music, Tamworth looks quite cool from the sky. And you can claim to your friends and family, you actually saw the whole Country Music Festival, we just wouldn’t go into too many details.
So, full disclaimer, you MIGHT hear some Country Music while at the Rodeo, but the atmosphere and entertainment, you could forget about it. At Australia’s premier Equine and Livestock Events Centre, you’re promised a real show at the Rodeo finals. Also the rodeo clowns are actually quite funny from our experience…
Get down to Industry Night on Sunday to say thanks to all those who served you during Festival. the Red Door Cafe at the Imperial hosts Industry Night for those who’s “weekend” falls on different days to regular Monday to Friday workers. So if you want to say thanks to those who made your Festival so good, catch them at Industry Night!
