Central North will look to finish a “disappointing” Country Colts Championships in style, after losing both their Twenty20 matches at Narrabri on Wednesday.
It means the side have lost their past three matches, following a first up win over Western.
On Wednesday - day three of the championships - Central Coast thumped Central North by eight wickets, before Riverina beat them by five wickets.
Central North conclude the annual under-18 carnival against Greater Illawarra at Gately Fields on Thursday.
Central North co-coach Tom Groth labelled Central North’s showing as “disappointing” but said the side performed much better in the loss to Riverina, after making 5-137 batting first. Riverina passed the total with seven balls left.
Opener Will Fort top-scored for Central North with a 46-ball 58, which included two sixes and four fours.
In the earlier game, Central North were dismissed for 75 in the 15th over, with Central Coast passing the total in the 14th over. Fort made a 24-ball 28.
Groth said: “I think it’s really important that we finish with a win.
It’s been a pretty disappointing week, so it would be really nice to get a win.”
