The membership costs are set to climb in the coming years to cover “inflation and marketing costs”.
TRC will put a further $332,000, during the next four years, into the Evocities program if it votes to sign the new Memorandum of Understanding.
The 2019/20 fees would be $80,000 and the payment would grow by $2000 each year.
In 2015, the membership fee was $60,000.
The most recent annual report on Evocities showed more people were being assisted through the group.
Since its launch in 2010, 3619 households have reached out to Evocities staff since relocating to either Tamworth, Armidale, Dubbo, Bathurst, Orange, Wagga Wagga or Albury.
There were 394 relocations supported in 2017/18 which was up from 327 in the previous year.
Council director of business John Sommerlad said in his report to council the “momentum should not be abandoned”.
“If council did not continue its participation in the Evocities campaign and sought to conduct its own marketing initiative this would limit market reach and result in diminished results,” the report said.
