It was hot and it was windy but that didn’t stop punters heading to the Tamworth Jockey Club dressed in their absolute best.
The Fashions on the Field drew in plenty of racegoers with judges finding it hard to split the contestants.
Of the women, Cheryl Fenton won the Millinery award with Rebecca Knight named runner-up who then went on to be named best dressed with Anna Barwick the runner-up.
John Sevil won the men’s category while Jo and Michael Harding won the couples category on a day where numbers were still strong despite the weather.
“It’s a great day and we're very happy with numbers,” Tamworth Jockey Club general manager Kay Jeffrey said.
“We’re appreciative of everyone that has battled through the heat and supported our club.”
