The Tamworth TAFE Summer Football competition kicked-off at the Gipps Street Sporting Complex in Friday afternoon.
“With over 400 players registered for Tamworth Summer Football competition, it is very exciting to see that football will be a year-round sport in the Tamworth region,” Northern Inland Footbal General Manager, Julia Farina said.
Summer football provides a great experience for the whole family, with the Tamworth competition focussing on 12 years and up.
Games are seven-a-side and specifically designed fields small enough to get everyone involved on the ball, but large enough to run wild and keep fit.
For children aged 5-11 years, Northern Inland Football is also holding futsal at the Tamworth SportsDome, which will provide the younger age group the opportunity to test their skills.
