It’ll be One Cause, One Place, One Day to help farmers in drought on Saturday.
The C3 Church Tamworth fundraiser is a community market and car boot sale, with treasures to be found and funds to be raised for R U Aware We Care.
It will run from 8.30am to 2pm at the church at 204 Duri Rd.
Market stallholders or car boot vendors can still book in before Friday night, with co-ordinator Paul Briscoe on 0404 063 475.
He said the event would have a few benefits.
“We’re helping the farming community but also helping people to recycle and upcycle their goods – one man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” Mr Briscoe said.

“You might have 150 families who want to do a sale to help farmers, but they’re never going to get the foot traffic we could get … it will have a bigger impact.”
Considering the date of the event, he thought it would be a pretty good time to get selling.
“There’s going to be a lot of extra people in town for the Buy A Bale concert that night; you just never know who’s wandering around.”
Mr Briscoe said the event would be a practical way of helping rural families.
“For us as a church, we wanted to do something more practical than, as Christian believers, pray. We thought: ‘What else can we do to help?’”
Mr Briscoe said stallholders would be asked to pay a small site fee, and a percentage of their day’s earnings – every cent of which would go to the community drought support campaign.
