A number of Manilla businesses have taken on a rosey hue during the month of October, as part of the ‘Pink Up Your Town’ campaign.

The campaign has been an annual event in the town since around 2005, when the council’s Manilla office staff decided to have a pink ribbon breakfast.

Local businesses have jumped on board again this year, pinking up their window displays, with everything from balloons to stuffed gorillas, and wearing pink – instead of their usual less colourful attire – for the cause.
Funds raised throughout the duration of the campaign will go towards the McGrath Foundation, to help cover the cost of local Breast Care Nurse positions.
