Narrabri Shire councillors have re-elected Cathy Redding as mayor for another two years.

Cr Robert Kneale was appointed deputy mayor, taking over from Cr Cameron Staines, and will serve a one-year term.
Cr Redding said she was very excited for the next couple years, with the wheels beginning to turn on some big projects.
“Our biggest project at the moment is the logistical and industrial hub,” Cr Redding said.
“We’re getting the business case done on it now, and once that’s complete, it will be all systems go.
“We’re also looking to open up more industrial land, and have a look at residential.”
There are plans in the work to create commercial precincts in the shire's towns and villages, while the inland rail is set to roll in to the region next year.
“The future planning that has also been taking place behind the scenes is also a remarkable achievement,” Cr Redding said.
