DECLINING mental health for farmers has inspired one Tamworth resident to raise much-needed funds.
Mind Matters, a Facebook support group run by Helen Mary Jones will head to the Marsupial Park in droves on Sunday.
“I wanted to do something for the drought because we manage a property at Woolomin dealing with drought ourselves and having to sell off cattle,” she said.
“I’m very concerned there’s so much stress on people, financial stress with hay prices skyrocketing and people struggling to get assistance.”

The funds will go to R U Aware We Care, the College of Counselling and Mind Matters.
The event is on Sunday from midday at the Tamworth Marsupial Park, with raffles, barbeques and entertainment.
