THE Walcha Rugby League Club held their annual presentation night last Saturday where both the Roos and Jillaroo players were rewarded for their efforts throughout the season.

Utility player Andrew Kelly won the Rob “Truck” Laurie best and fairest award.
Troy Yarnold picked up the players’ player, Alex Bruce was voted the most improved player and received the Brian Sweeney Memorial trophy.
Harry King was voted the coach’s best by co-coaches Chris Bruce and Steve McAlister.
Group 19 second division ladies league player of the season, Robyn Broadbent, added the Jillaroos best and fairest title to her trophy cabinet.
Players’ player for the Jillaroos was Rachel Green, most improved went to Ellen Dunger, and the coach’s award was shared between players Rachel Green and Lucy Withers.
After the presentations, 10 players and officials went under the clippers to raise funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation and Compassion.
Around $4700 was donated for the charities.
Jillaroo Ruth France raised $2658 to be divided between the two charities.
The Neville “Malta” Morris Memorial clubperson of the year was awarded to first aider, strapper and water boy Peter Martin.
