The duo were selected to represent Australia at the Championships which will be held in Switzerland in September.
Holly steps up into the elite category for the first year along with Queensland’s Imogen Smith and Victoria’s Sarah Riley.
Michael was named in the under 23 men’s team with Western Australia’s Reece Tucknott, NSW’s Callum Carson, Tasmania’s Alex Lack, NSW’s Luke Brame and Brent Rees.
Ten downhill riders have been selected while 14 cross-country riders will wear the Australian kit against the worlds best in the season ending event, to join the junior team was announced in June.
In other mountain biking news, the cross country Olympic national championships will move away from Armidale in 2019 and 2020 with Bright in Victoria announced as the venue for the event.
Though the national championships won’t be gracing the town, the World Endurance Mountain Bike Organisation championships are set for Armidale in 2020.
