Barraba, Manilla and Kootingal are now home to the same design of bubblers which have been dotted along Peel Street since August last year.
Installation of the stations was recently completed between the two town halls in Manilla’s main street, Queen Street Mall in Barraba and in Kootingal Park in Irvine Street, Kootingal.

The 2100mm-high water refill station design is wheelchair accessible, vandal resistant, able to endure the outdoor elements and withstand high volumes of use.
It includes a drinking fountain, multiple bottle refill points plus a dog bowl.
Tamworth Regional Council sustainability officer, Ian Lobban, said it was a big positive for three other parts of the region to now have their own water refill stations.
“It’s a great sustainability initiative because it encourages residents and visitors to reduce single use drink bottle use but it’s also good for community well-being in providing easy access to a free supply of quality drinking water,” he said.
“There has been a great community response to the Tamworth ones and the hope is these latest ones will be received just as well.”
The water station cost about $40,000 to insatll.
