The town’s bowling club will host a fundraiser on Sunday for the family with charity bowls and raffles from 10am.
Bowling club Chief Executive Officer Gary Roser said it was just the nature of the Werris Creek community to get behind people when the chips were down.

“Our club motto is ‘being the heart of the community’,” Mr Roser said.
He was expecting a strong turn-out on Sunday with Tamworth locals anticipated to trek across for the event.
Mr Roser said people could ring the club arrange donations if they couldn’t attend.
A GoFundMe page set up for the Luckwell family has raised more than $2500 over the last six weeks.
