POLICE are appealing for help after a man’s house erupted in flames in Tamworth in the early hours of Wednesday.

The blaze caused significant damage to the house and garage in McGregor Street house in Coledale, along with a car.
The blaze broke out about 3.10am when the resident was away.
A crime scene was set-up and detectives called in to investigate if its suspicious.
Investigators are appealing for information from any witnesses in the area at the time.

Meanwhile, a teenage girl has been granted bail, charged with setting fire to an Armidale house.
Emergency services were called to the Bundarra Road property at Invergowrie, after reports of the blaze at about 8.40pm on Tuesday.
Police were told the 14-year-old girl allegedly assaulted two people and damaged two vehicles at the property, before starting the fire.
The girl was arrested at the scene and has been charged with three counts of common assault, two counts of malicious damage to motor vehicle and damage property by fire.
She was granted bail and will appear at a children’s court in June.
