ROYALS IN THE HUNTER
The wedding fever has reminded us of 1954 when Her Majesty The Queen stopped into the Hunter for a visit. She was met by a crowd of 44,000 school children at the Broadmeadow Showground, where she toured the site of the upcoming Newcastle Show.
Other royals have also stopped in to visit Newcastle and surrounds. Take a look through the royal archives.
