Over 1000 students in Tamworth and the surrounding district donned their school uniforms in February for the first time.
For some there were tears, for others there was a quick peck on the cheek of mum or dad or family members before they were off to find new friends.
These students are the kindergarten class of 2018. One day – and probably what will feel like it comes around in no time for parents – they’ll be the graduating class of 2030.
The Northern Daily Leader commissioned photographer captured the smiling faces a few weeks into their schooling career and the students were settling into ‘big school’.
