
A WOMAN has been flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital after she got her arm caught in machinery north of Wee Waa.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked on Anzac Day to the property and airlifted the 25-year-old in a stable condition.
On Tuesday, a man suffered serious injuries after a motorcycle accident. The chopper was called to the Yarrowitch area about 6pm, after reports of a dirt bike accident east of Walcha.
The helicopter service said the 59-year-old man had reportedly sustained multiple “trauma” injuries at the scene.
Due to the remote location, he was winched on a stretcher into the helicopter and flown to Port Macquarie Hospital in a serious condition.
It was a busy 24-hours for the helicopter service with an early morning transfer from Collarenebri to Tamworth hospital on Anzac Day morning for a patient with a medical condition.
