Nundle seniors were celebrated at an Award Ceremony held at the Nundle Public School as part of the 2018 Seniors Festival on Monday. The 2018 Nundle Senior of the Year was awarded to Hanging Rock resident Marcia Ajani.

Ms Ajani plays a pivotal role in the Hanging Rock Progress Association which she first convened in 1986 and served as President for the following seven years.
During this time, the Progress Association worked toward the acquisition of the former Hanging Rock School, to create a community hall for all residents to enjoy.
Her fundraising efforts have resulted in the purchase of much-needed items for the Hall including chairs, tables, crockery, cutlery, and trees.
In addition to her fundraising, Ms Ajani’s efforts in coordinating a wide range of events and projects have seen her described by her peers as one of the kindest, most generous people you will ever meet.
