FOR nearly two years, Isaac Moxon has been growing his hair – all to have it chopped off. The 17-year-old Tamworth High School student is raising money for Bowel Cancer Australia by shaving his head.
“I lost some family members to bowel cancer, so I wanted to help out,” Isaac said.
“My Pop died when Dad was 15, and my other one when I was 10.
“He was one of my heroes.”
Isaac hopes to raise $1500, and will go under the clippers on April 12 in front of his school. “A few people have jumped on board,” he said.
“I was starting to get attached to the long hair, but everybody’s egging me on.
“I’ve got a deal with one of the teachers at school.
“If I raise over $1500, he’ll wax his back, over $2000, he’ll wax his entire top half and over $2500, he’ll wax his top half and shave his head.”
