Dual player-of-the-match performances by Barry Hoy and Ben France assisted Round Swamp to a 19th Walcha News Cup victory when they defeated Colts by 45 runs at the Park last Saturday.

Batting first, the minor premiers amassed 9-158 thanks to a patient 71 by Hoy, a well-constructed 34 to France and a quickfire 27 from Luke Wellings, who despatched one Jacob Sherrin-delivery over the fence.
Swamp were cruising at 4-130 before Colts opener Will Fletcher returned from a spell to snare three wickets without conceding a run, triggering a batting team collapse of 5-19.
Fletcher took 4-28 off his 10 overs while Sherrin, Thor, Crombie and Ed Blomfield all collected a wicket apiece.
In reply Colts were on target at 2-78 after 20 overs with opener Blomfield steering the ship but when he had his furniture rearranged by France a couple of overs later after he made 40, the tide started to turn.
A 4-7 spell by France saw Colts suffer an identical collapse to Swamp of 5-19.
France sent down 10 overs to finish with 4-28, the same as Fletcher.
Veteran Paul Pittman tried to keep his team afloat but when he was bowled by Wellings for 23 Colts were 8-112 and the curtains were all but closed.
All five Swamp bowlers used met success. Opener Lee Harrison recovered from a wayward first over to take 2-34 while Wellings, Liam Brennan and Tom Hoy all claimed a victim each.
Round Swamp also won the Yalgoo Shield (minor premiers) and Turton Cup (Twenty20), the six time they have taken out the hat-trick of major trophies in one season.
