Car and bus crash, Brisbane St Tamworth

About lunch time, emergency services were called to reports of an accident on Brisbane St, between Peel St and Marius St.

Firefighters were the first to arrive on scene, meanwhile volunteers from St John’s ambulance assisted until paramedics arrived.

It’s understood one person, a woman in a white Pajero wagon, was taken to Tamworth Hospital for treatment.

Traffic was disrupted for a short period of time while the car was towed from the scene..

The investigation into the cause of the accident is continuing.
