Ten UK Explorers, 19 Tasmanian Venturers and six adult leaders from both places made the long bus journey from Dubbo to Tamworth on Friday.

“They enjoyed dinner and some socialising in our wonderful Australian bush,” NSW Scouts North West commissioner Brett Grimmond said.
“After breakfast they did some clean-up at the campsite and proceeded up to the North Coast for the next leg of their journey.”
These Scouts have joined hundreds of others their age from across Australia at Camp Warrawee, north of Brisbane, for the 17th Australian Venture or AV2018.
The Venture is Scouts Australia’s major youth event for the Venturer Scout section, which is for young people aged 14 to 17.
The 10-day event lets participants visit various parts of Queensland, try out activities and challenges and make new friends.
