The Brett Cavanough-trained seven-year-old gelding won in Brisbane (Eagle Farm) and Sydney (Randwick) during the season, adding the Razor Sharp and June Stakes to his impressive list of 11 wins in 41 starts.
The gelding son of California Dane has earned just over $571,000 in prizemoney for his four owners, one of which is trainer Brett Cavanough.
He wasn’t the only Scone identity to win a major award as scone based jockey, Rachael Murray, was also named Country Jockey of the Year at the 2017 NSW Country and Provincial Racing Awards Dinner held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney on Friday night.
Deepwater Jockey Club also received the Community Race Club of the Year as well.
