The three-day annual tournament ended on Thursday, with North West finishing strongly with a 5-1 win over Sydney South West and a 1-1 draw against Sydney West to finish in seventh place overall out of 13 teams.
Sydney North won the event.
“We did have a draw with Sydney North in the round group, so it was a very pleasing result for us to realise we weren’t that far away, really,” North West manager Craig McDonald said.
In the boys tournament, North West finished 11th out of 13 teams.
It was the first time the team has not finished last in the event.
North West had two wins and a draw from 12 games.
“The boys were really happy and I was very proud of them,” North West manager David Lewis said.
