The Tea Party themed day saw youths, parents, carers and service providers learn more about the invaluable, and free, mental health service.
During the day Tamworth Headspace was awarded a $1000 grant from Best Employment, and the organisation has big plans that Community Engagement Officer Avril Oakley-Hollow hopes can make a big difference in local schools.
The Best in Community grant is going to be used to purchase Bullybox, a new software package that allows people to report, record, track and investigate instances of bullying.
“The $1000 will allow us to run the program in one school for a year,” Ms Oakley-Hollow said.
“We will need a school that is digitally capable and able to monitor and collect the data. Hopefully we can achieve some good outcomes and move on to more schools.”
