Six-time Golden Guitar winner Lyn Bowtell is continuing to make her mark on The Voice.
On Tuesday night, Bowtell delivered a stellar performance of The Beatles’ Let It Be after she went head-to-head with other hopefuls in the knockout rounds.
Bowtell’s performance ticked all the right boxes for the judges, with a standing ovation from Seal and Bowtell’s mentor Boy George.
She now enters the next stage of the reality television competition; the battle rounds.
Bowtell has proven to be a fan and a judge favourite on the series so far, turning all four chairs of judges Delta Goodrem, Seal, Kelly Rowland and Boy George with her audition song of Sting’s Fields of Gold, dedicated to her late father.
Well known in country music circles, Bowtell told The Leader earlier this month, she chose to enter the show to give her music a wider reach.
“The Voice is viewed by 1.5 million people per night,” she said,
“I’ve never played in front of that many people.
“I see it as an opportunity to broaden that fan base, so why not do it?”
Members of the Country Music industry have also given Bowtell their blessing.
