Opening bowler Joey Ryan did most of the damage early as he claimed 3-8 from 5.3 overs in one of the performances of the carnival so far, while Jayden Betts also chimed in to take 2-21 later in the piece as the Hawkesbury batsmen crumbled under the pressure with only one Logan Wilson (14) and Kyle Wheeler (10) making double figures.
In reply Tamworth cruised to victory two wickets down in the 33rd over as Lara Graham and Mitchell Henderson finished unbeaten on 20 and 31 respectively, while Jess Davidson chipped in with 16.
In other matches Pennant Hills Cherrybrook remain undefeated after accounting for Lismore, while the Peel River Renegades had a seven run victory over Armidale while Nambucca Bellingen accounted for Manly.
Tamworth’s win saw them finish on top of Pool A, while WPHC finished on top of Pool B to be certain starters in Thursday’s semi-finals at Riverside 1 and 2.
