House with No Steps, Tamworth Family Support Service, Pathfinders, Ability Links and JobLink Plus joined forces this week to host the 2016 Access All Areas Film Festival Shorts Program to celebrate International Day of People with Disability.
Guests were treated to a free program of award winning short films, with screens and accessible features at the Coledale Community Centre for people of all abilities to enjoy.
The day was held to celebrate the contributions that people with a disability make in Australian life with an aim to challenge myths, improve awareness and take positive action to change inclusion and accessibility for people with a disability.
“This year’s festival includes the perspectives of people with disability in many of the films and emphases the importance of including everyone,” festival director Jacqueline Cosgrove said.
