They are the heart and soul of every Tamworth Country Music Festival - the stars, the musicians, THE PEOPLE.
Doug McIntyre is sharing his festival experience with us ....
I'll be playing at Hooper Homestead today at 11.30 and in the Back to the Bush Concert in the Park tonight at 7pm.
I kick off my day with a live to air report on all the goings on at Tamworth for ABC Illawarra.
Another great day in this great town!
Well day 3 for me. Might sound weird but I'm actually missing the heat in Tamworth.
Look forward to seeing you all out at the Oasis from 1 till 2.
Really enjoying making music and seeing how music brings people together!
Gday folks! It's been wonderful catching up with old friends and meeting new ones through music, and that's what Tamworth is about people coming together through music.
I'll be on the Fanzone Stage in Peel street this morning at 11. Look forward to seeing you there!
Day number two for me folks.
I had a great time last night at Tamworth Town Hall where I lost the Australian Gold Medallion Media Award for Best Male Vocal for NSW haha!
But seriously I felt like a winner just being nominated alongside the winner Allan Caswell and Luke O'Shea, Graeme Connors, Adam Harvey, etc. I caught up with some lovely artist friends too and it's always great seeing them each year.
I'm on Graham Rodgers' show at the Tamworth Community Centre tonight so come along and allow me the privilege of taking you on a journey with my songs.
Speak soon folks.
All the best, Doug McIntyre
Well it's great to be back in old Tamworth town. I just love this place!!!
Which is why I captured the fun and excitement of the place in a song. And song surprisingly named "Tamworth". If I may say so, the songs a hoot and has become a theme song for Tamworth fanatics.
I look forward to singing it at the Big Back To The Bush Concert In The Park on the night of January 20.
I'm just going to love all my shows and taking the fans on a ride through Australia with my songs.
And surprisingly I named it "Tamworth"
It's going to be awesome catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. So don't be shy, come and say g'day if we cross paths, but most of all come along to my shows and help Doug pack da house!!!
I look forward giving you my daily updates
