Rene Morales was in a parent/ teacher conference with the high-school principal when he told him “I’ll f****** get you” just after 11.15am on June 25.
It came after the 60-year-old said “where do you live, you live out of town,” standing up and pointing forcefully at the victim during the discipline meeting at the school.
Morales stormed out of the office, and when the victim feared Morales knew where he lived, he raised the alarm with police.
After a statement was made, officers confronted the accused at his West Tamworth home that afternoon about the allegation.
According to police facts, Morales told officers “I don’t care, I’ll jump on his f****** head.”
He was arrested and charged, before checks revealed he was on a good behaviour bond.
Morales fronted Tamworth Local Court unrepresented yesterday to face a charged of stalk and intimidate following the incident.
After pleading guilty, the court heard the 60-year-old had been assessed as unsuitable for any community-based options in sentencing.
Morales, who was supposed to be of good behaviour after being convicted of supplying cannabis and possessing knuckle dusters in 2013, told the court he is a father of six and owns his own carpet cleaning business.
But Magistrate Michael Holmes said their was no excuse for his actions.
“This sort of behaviour cannot be condoned,” he told the court.
“School teachers need to be protected in their work.
“Your behaviour is unacceptable.”
Mr Holmes jailed Morales for 12 months with a minimum of six months behind bars.
He was also re-sentenced to six months jail for the offences that broke the good behaviour bond.
After the sentence was handed down, Morales continued to shout as he was led away by Corrective Services to begin serving his sentence.
He will be eligible for parole in February next year.
