A man has been charged with murder after police discovered a body inside a Melbourne home during a welfare check. The body of a 78-year-old man was found inside a property in Scoresby, in the city's outer east, where officers had been called about 11.30pm on Thursday. They had been asked to check on the welfare of two people. A 30-year-old man, believed to be known to the victim, was charged with murder on Friday afternoon. He's expected to face Melbourne Magistrates Court later on Friday. Australian Associated Press
