The Fitzroy Plaza will be alive with food trucks, dance and music performances, craft activities, face painting and rides on Easter Saturday, April 16.
Council's events manager Michaela Stevens said the night will be a great lead up to the festival.
"The carnival rides that we set up in Kable Avenue for country music are coming in early so they'll be operating, so there'll already be a nice festival atmosphere, but with an Easter theme," she said.
