Hunter New England Health urged residents of Narrabri to get tested for coronavirus after a confirmed COVID-19 case visited the town.

Public Health Physician Dr David Durrheim said five people in Tamworth seven people in Moree and four from Inverell tested positive to COVID-19 on Friday.
"We are aware of a confirmed COVID-19 case that has visited Narrabri and attended various private social gatherings," he said.
"We encourage anyone in Narrabri with even the mildest of symptoms, to come forward for testing."

He also advised people with symptoms in the Moree, Inverell and Taree regions to come forward for testing, given the COVID-19 cases in the area.
The health district recorded 28 new cases of coronavirus in the update, which covers to 8pm on Friday night. 4,114 people in the district have contracted the virus since August 5.
One person in Armidale contracted the virus.
COVID-19 virus fragments were detected in the sewerage of Uralla, where there are no known cases.
