Crawford Boots took out the top title at the Business NSW New England North West 2021 awards on Friday, during a virtual ceremony.
Designer of the boots, Penny Crawford, said having worked as a podiatrist for three decades in regional NSW, the majority of her clients were miners with one main complaint - 'my boots don't fit'.
"The boots were built out of 30 years of working as a podiatrist, seeing a need especially in harsh industries and eight years later, after lots of blood, sweat and tears, we're here," she said.
"We're going really well and these awards, well that's just the icing on the cake."
Also taking out the Outstanding Business Leader and Excellence in Micro Business award, Ms Crawford said she was "humbled" to be up against such amazing businesses and people from across the region.
"I can't believe it, I'm lost for words which is a rare occasion for me," she said.
