NRL prop George Burgess will face court in October charged with malicious damage after a road rage incident in Wollongong this week.

The St George Illawarra recruit was on Wednesday served with the notice by NSW Police which alleges he threw a mobile phone on the road after a confrontation with another man on Monday night.
The NRL integrity unit is investigating the incident.
"(On Wednesday), legal representation for a 29-year-old man was served with a court attendance notice for malicious damage," a police statement read.
"The man is due to appear in Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday October 19, 2021.
"The charges relate to an incident at Denison Street, Wollongong on Monday 23 August, 2021."
The incident is alleged to have occurred on Monday night on the NSW south coast, in which Burgess and another man, 32, had a verbal altercation.
Police alleged Burgess grabbed the man's phone and threw it on the road.
Burgess only recently signed a two-year-deal with the Dragons with hopes of resurrecting his NRL career from 2022, after undergoing surgery to repair a chronic hip issue that has threatened to end his career.
"St George Illawarra are aware of an alleged road incident involving 2022 recruit George Burgess," a Dragons statement read on Wednesday.
"The NRL integrity unit have been informed.
"As the police are currently investigating the matter, the Dragons will be making no further comment at this stage."
The 15-time England international played eight seasons with South Sydney including a starring role in their 2014 grand final win before leaving the NRL to join Wigan in 2019.
He managed just eight games in the Super League in 2020 before departing the club on medical grounds, with two years left on his contract.
